A commitment sets a minimum spend that a customer must meet for a product or across a phase. If the customer’s usage falls below the commitment amount, Zenskar charges the commitment value instead of the usage amount.

How commitments are applied

Commitments run after discounts have been applied. Zenskar compares the post-discount billed amount against the commitment floor. If the billed amount is lower than the commitment, the commitment value is charged instead. Example: A customer has a $200 monthly minimum on a usage-based product. In a given month they use $120 worth of compute. Zenskar charges $200, not $120.
