A service fee adds a charge on top of the product amounts in a phase. It can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the phase total. Service fees are used for implementation fees, platform fees, or any contractual surcharge that sits above the usage and subscription charges.

How service fees are applied

Service fees run after discounts and commitments have been applied. They are added to the post-discount, post-commitment total before tax is calculated. Example: A phase has $1,000 in product charges after discounts and a 5% service fee. The fee adds $50, making the pre-tax total $1,050.
