A service fee adds a charge on top of the product amounts in a phase. It can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the phase total. Service fees are used for implementation fees, platform fees, or any contractual surcharge that sits above the usage and subscription charges.

Service fees are phase-level only. They are calculated on the combined total of all product line items in the phase, not on individual products.
Service fee types

|---|
| Fixed | Adds a flat amount to the phase total. |
| Percentage | Adds a percentage of the phase total as a fee. |
Configuration fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|

| Amount | Yes | The flat amount or percentage value. |

How service fees are applied
Service fees run after discounts and commitments have been applied. They are added to the post-discount, post-commitment total before tax is calculated.
Example: A phase has $1,000 in product charges after discounts and a 5% service fee. The fee adds $50, making the pre-tax total $1,050.
